The first time I saw a Hummer of the highway, I immediately had the impression that it was a military vehicle, because of its rugged shape and body. But I soon came to realize that this General Motors vehicle was much more than just an effective off-road vehicle--it portrayed luxury, class and style as well.
But many people were still a little bit frightened of this behemoth, and were concerned about its ability to handle on the streets, and not so much about its proven off-road record. But now that GM has come out with the Hummer 3 - H3, a smaller, easier-to-handle-on-the-streets version of the Hummer, I see more and more of these SUVs on the roads and highways, and now I'm not so surprised at how well it's being accepted as both an off-road vehicle, and as a family SUV (Suburban Utility Vehicle).
The H3 can still be taken off of the roads, and it has all of the same capabilities to handle tough obstacles and terrain, but at the same time, it's more fuel efficient than its bigger sibling, its smaller size makes it easier to maneuver on busy city streets, as well as in traffic, and the price is a lot more affordable, especially to those who are looking for this type of vehicle, but didn't want to shell out the big money for the H1. The Hummer H3 price is not that much more (if at all) than many other new cars, trucks, or SUVs.
And if you were intending to buy one, the Hummer H3 has a range of accessories that you can add on to give it your own personal feel. With a Hummer H3 accessory or two, you can turn the stock models into something sleek and stylish that fits your own personality.
So don't be surprised anymore if you're driving around and you spot a few more Hummers on the road. The H3 is certainly making it affordable for almost anyone to drive one, and with GM's reputation for building a stable, reliable automobile, you know that you're going to be safe behind the wheel of a Hummer. |
